NO POST UTME EXAM, SEE HOW 2017 JAMB ADMISSION WILL BE GIVEN

HOW 2017 JAMB ADMISSION WILL BE GIVEN

SCHOOL GIST NOW ON JAMB ADMISSION: BELOW IS HOW JAMB 2017 ADMISSION WILL BE GIVEN.

Like we all know, it is obvious there will be no post UTME exam this year. Any university trying to conduct any sort of Post JAMB examination is looking for trouble.

I last updated you guys on the JAMB new mode of admission process 2017 where I told you about told you about the way JAMB has decided to give admission this year by themselves. This JAMB new mode of admission process is in line with the agenda to admit Nigerian students irrespective of their tribe or religion, It is called JAMB central admission processing system.

Also if you could remember vividly we’ve discussed about How JAMB post UTME score 2017 would be calculated because since there is no exam, there should be a way of calculating the scores. I also gave you the method JAMB said it would use to calculate the scores but I will be giving it again below to enable those who have not been here with us get an idea of what we are saying.

Below is how the 2017 jamb post utme score would be calculated

Just take a good look at the stuff, If you do not understand it, I would be explaining it bit by bit below remember this is www.schoolgistnow.com.ng .

You O’level grade carries the percentage as below.

A1-8%
B2-7%
B3-6%
C4-5%
C5-4%
C6-3%

The more A’s and B’s on you result, the greater your chances.

Five A1-40%
Five B2-35%
Five B3-30%
Five C4-25%
Five C5-20%
Five C6-15%

Your JAMB score.

UTME Scores-60%
180-189 = 10%
190-199 = 20%
200-209 = 30%
210-219 = 40%
220-229 = 50%
230 & Above = 60%

That means from 230 and above has the same percentage. That sounds great but the limiting factor there is the course cut-off mark in the school you are applying. If the course cuts 235 and you scored 230 then a friend scores 239. Both of you have the same 60% in JAMB’s grading but then you didn’t meet up with the course cut-off mark; sorry you will be shifted to another department or worst still get no admission but we pray against that.

The above is a more reason why you should consider JAMB change of course if you JAMB score is far below the last year cut-off mark of your course. Course cut-off marks vary from school to school.

HOW 2017 JAMB ADMISSION WILL BE GIVEN

Now this is how the process will look like, remember this is www.schoolgistnow.com.ng . JAMB already has your WAEC registration number right? You gave it to them during JAMB form purchase after you created your JAMB profile. So you can’t lie about your WAEC result during screening, they have it too.

Lets go straight to calculating your 2017 JAMB admission probability or whareva.

Lets assume you wanted to go for EEE in FUTO and your JAMB score is 237 whille you had 2A’s, 2B2’s and a C4  in English, Maths, Chem, Physics and Biology. Your JAMB POST UTME score will be like below.

2 A’s = 8 + 8 = 16%

2 B’s = 7 + 7 = 14%

1 C = 5  = 5%. This means you would have a total of 16 + 14 + 5 = 35%. Adding the 35% to the 60% you’ve already gotten through your JAMB score of 237 would give a whopping 95% and for real, you are good to go on the merit list!

      You didn’t specify if it’s B2 or B3… lets calculate with B2.
      229 = 50%, 4B2’s = 28%, 1C4 = 5%.
      Total = 83%… It’s a good score, It now depends on the course you applied and the school.

  2. Ruth Tamuno says:

    Jamb score:232
    1C4, 1C5, 2B3s, 1B2

    • Okparafrancis says:

      Jamb 232 = 60%
      1C4 = 5%
      1C5 = 4%
      2B3 = 18%
      1B2 = 7%

      What we need here is just the five basic subjects for the course you applied so try and sort them out and calculate your total percentage.
