JAMB TO REDUCE EXAM TIME TO TWO HOURS

The Joint admission and matriculation board, JAMB has said that it may reduce its examination time to two hours for the 2017 JAMB exam.

It disclosed this Wednesday through its registrar Prof. Is-haq Oloyede.

it said that the reduction of the exam time to two hours will make it to meet the standard of international examination which is said is not supposed to pass 2 hours for students of the age applying for jamb.

It went further to even bring the lime light the standard time for an examination for children in the primary school which it said should be between 45 to 60 minutes.

He made clear one of the strategies they have set up his year to cub examination malpractice. The strategy was that its exam papers will be uploaded just 5 minutes before the exam to keep exam malpractice on check.

He also stated that about 300, 000 three hundred thousand students will be sitting for the JAMB mock exam on the 8th of April. This will be used to test their new technology in the JAMB exam sector and to improve the exam conditions before the main exam. loop holes in the exam planning sector would be fixed within this period.

He went further to say that JAMB  has improved it technology and invented even new technology and technological approach to ensure that all candidates, both those in rural and advantaged areas will have a conducive examination place.

He noted that JAMB has zero tolerance for exam malpractice and would ensure it is given no room in any of the exam centers.

The reduction of the examination time to two hours is in line with international best practice.
