ASUU CALL OFF STRIKE AFTER MEETING WITH FG TODAY

School Gist Now On ASUU: Few hours ago the news of ASUU calling of the ongoing strike struck the social media and have been receiving pretty good shares.

At the moment, School Gist Now is yet to confirm the authenticity of the news as no credible backing have been found online.

One of the rumour posters said he was watching the program live and posted immediately it was announce. If this is true, that means the news will soon come up online.

Below is a copy of the supposed rumour.

On the 29th of August 2017, 9:00am the ASSU’s delegate met with the FGN. A memorandum of understanding was reached and this effected the calling off of the ongoing strike as schools are told to resume work as from 4th of monday 2017( next week Monday) . The chairman of the association said
‘We pray for journey mercies for the students as they journey back to school. We are sorry for the strike, but our rights need to be fought for. This is the only way our voice can be echoed. We apologize for whatever inconvenience it has caused. All tertiary institution is to resume back on Monday 4th of sept. We are so grateful for the support of the schools under the oneness of this association
